Rosalila Temple Reconstruction

Rosalila Temple Reconstruction loading

This full-scale reconstruction of Copán's Rosalila Temple is based on one of the best-preserved Maya buildings ever discovered. Protected inside a later pyramid for more than 1,400 years, the original shrine preserves rare evidence that Maya temples were brilliantly painted with colorful stucco rather than left as bare stone.
