Huaricanga Huancas loading

The archeological site of Huaricanga was part of the ancient Norte Chico / Caral-Supe culture, dating to roughly 3000 BCE. These stone monoliths, known as as huancas (not to be confused with huacas) are believed to have represented the chiefs and other ancestors.
