Nazca Lines Oculate Being Geoglyph
This geoglyph is often attributed to the Nazca culture, and commonly called 'The Astronaut'. However, based on the style similarly to other earlier geolgyphs, it may have actually been created by the earlier Paracas culture. In which case, it would more accurately represent 'The Oculate Being', which was a diety venerated by the Paracas culture. The Oculate Being is a common motif found in Paracas textiles and ceramics, characterized by its large, round eyes and intricate designs.
