Nazca Cormorant Geoglyph
This geoglyph is commonly believed to represent an aquatic bird, such as a cormorant, anhinga or heron, due to its long neck and long beak. The zig-zag pattern of the neck is distinctive and may symbolize water or movement, such as a winding stream flowing down through desert canyons. These aquatic birds are more often found in this region in the rare years of heavy rainfall.
