Green Anaconda

A large green anaconda coiled on wet muddy ground beside grass, its olive scales patterned with dark blotches. loading

This Green Anaconda was spotted near Laguna Damas del Nare, an oxbow lake off the Guaviare River, Colombia. They're more commonly seen in the wet season, and then typically in or near water, but this was right after a heavy rain and the fields were flooded. A couple of local guys whose land this was on were saying they get a whole lot bigger there than this one too, which was only about 9 feet long.
