White-Lipped Peccaries

White-Lipped Peccaries loading

While exploring Costa Rica's Corcovado National Park, large group of foraging white-lipped peccaries began to approach towards us through the forest. Knowing that they were dangerous, and easily startled, we climbed upon a large falling tree trunk for protection. A few began to appear, and then dozens. Suddenly, one caught our sent, set off an alarm call, and sent the entirely squadron shrieking and darting across the forest floor.
